How Maths supports our school’s vision:
At Great Preston C of E Primary School, children will become confident, fluent and experimental mathematicians. By using a range of representations, our pupils will develop a deep, conceptual understanding and a real curiosity about maths. Children will apply their knowledge to make wise and creative choices when solving problems, both collaboratively and independently. Carefully planned opportunities will enable children to reason and make rich connections across mathematical ideas and the wider world.
